The dedicated focus on the 1x13-speed shifting system achieves unparalleled efficiency. In particular, using a cassette with a smallest sprocket of 9 teeth creates a gear ratio that enables an absolutely balanced cadence level thanks to its short and even shifting steps. Thanks to its medium-length cage design, the 13-speed rear derailleur is compatible with all cassettes in the Ekar GT series. From the 9-36 tooth gradation to 10-48 teeth, there is a suitable option for every Gravel requirement. While the specially designed 2D parallelogram ensures precise mechanical movements, the clutch and Oversize derailleur pulleys ensure a secure grip and smooth chain movement on any terrain. In total, the Ekar GT rear derailleur contains more than 70 carefully designed individual parts made from materials tailored to the respective area of application. For the best combination of long-term durability and low weight, not only anodized 7075 and 6082 aluminium is used, but also carbon fibre-reinforced polyamide and stainless steel with a special surface treatment. All in all, this ensures reliable operation even under the most difficult conditions and outstanding resistance to impacts, sand and dust.
