The Campagnolo Ekar GT cassette What unites all options of the Ekar GT cassette is a gentle progression within the gear ratios. The first 6 sprockets have only small jumps between them, which increase with the larger sprockets in the second half of the cassette. This characteristic helps the rider to exploit the maximum potential of their bike and enjoy an optimal riding experience on demanding routes and difficult terrain. Depending on requirements and personal preference, you can choose between more compact cassettes for Endurance or racing use and wider gear ratios for the really big Gravel adventure. In combination with the dedicated, easily replaceable chainrings of the Ekar GT crankset, this not only results in an incredibly wide gear range, but also enables smoother gear changes and a level of efficiency that would not be possible with a 2-speed drivetrain system. In particular, using a cassette with a smallest sprocket of 9 teeth creates a gear ratio that enables an absolutely balanced cadence level thanks to its short and even gear steps. Compared to sprockets with 10 or 11 teeth, the small version manages without additional friction thanks to a special tooth profile, which means that none of the power generated is lost. In the construction of the 13-speed cassette, Campagnolo remains true to its design philosophy, which is characterized by a single block for the largest sprockets, a triplet or quadruplet for the smallest sprockets and 5 individual sprockets with aluminium 7075 spacers. This design guarantees that the sprocket unit, which is designed to interact with the tried-and-tested N3W freehub body, is not only lightweight but also offers optimum response.
