Accordingly, the design is not only suitable for a wide range of hand sizes, but also offers more grip for smoother and more intuitive control. The Dual Control levers are suitable for mechanical disc brake calipers and rim brake calipers that feature Shimano's New Super SLR technology. Dual Control Lever (DCL) | The Shimano DCL levers combine braking and shifting functions in one control unit for easy as well as comfortable operation. In raising the standard of performance, their innovative ergonomics are even more important to consider than adding additional gearing. However, the highlight of the STI shifters (Shimano Total Integration) shifters, is the ability to change gears front and rear with just one finger. The Dual Control levers owe this not only to an extremely precise and smooth operation, but also to the same stability for which Shimano's MTB technologies are already known. New Super SLR | SLR stands for Shimano Linear Response. Based on a smoother operation of the brake caliper, lever and cable, the current Super SLR technology optimizes both the response and the modulation of the brake.
