Front or rear compatible, the Elkhorn lets you feel the trail beneath you rather than the tail wag behind you. Old Man Mountain racks are the most versatile racks available. Capable of mounting to suspension forks, full-suspension mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, even tri-bikes if that’s what you’re into. Main Features of the Elkhorn Cargo Rack - Short Front or Rear Ready The Elkhorn is extremely versatile, It comes front or rear ready for eyelet mounting, and with our Fit Kits, the Elkhorn mounts on any bike or fork with ease. Carry up to 25lbs! The Elkhorn is ready to confidently carry up to 25lbs/11.4kg, whether you’re on smooth pavement, a rugged rock garden, or with your tires off the ground. Fits Any Bike Fit Kits to thru axle or QR skewer mount the rack make OMM racks compatible with nearly any bike; road, gravel, full-suspension, or fat bike. Room For Big Tires The Elkhorn comes in two sizes. The Short fits up to 27.5 x 2.8″ or 700c x 50mm. and the Tall fits up to 29 x 3.25″ tires with room for mud. Room For Fenders We built the Elkhorn with mud clearance and fenders in mind so it has plenty of room for fenders, even with large tires. 3-Pack Mounts Set it up to suit your needs. With 3-pack mounts on the uprights you can carry bottles, fuel, stuff sacks, dry bags, bolt-on bags, and more. Further Features Front or rear mountable Made from 6061 aluminum the racks are lightweight, stiff, and strong The rack is made from 1/2″ (13mm) diameter tubing. The deck measures 3.9″ x 10.5″ (100 mm x 266 mm). The deck includes slots for easily lashing gear in place and holes for mounting a light. The Elkhorn comes standard, eyelet mount ready with optional fit kits available for thru axle or QR mounting. The Elkhorn has a load capacity of 25lbs/11.34kg. Rack weight: 623 grams with 6″ extenders. Powder coated a sleek and refined shade of black. The height from the mounting point to the deck is 390mm. Be sure to leave room for debris and mud clearance. Old Man Mountain racks come ready to eyelet mount like every other rack, but what if your bike isn’t mean’t for a rack? Never fear, the Fit Kits are here! The Fit Kits take the weight off your frame and moves it to the axle; the part of your bike that’s designed to be super stiff and carry a ton of weight. And if you don’t have upper eyelets to attach the stays, OMM have pucks that strap to the frame with ultra rugged zip ties.
