The semi-integrated ACROS AZ-44 Headset Upper Part features the newest seal technologies from ACROS and high-end bearings in stainless quality. Precisely manufactured angular contact bearings made of stainless steel form the heart of the AZ-44 and offer play-free and smooth steering characteristics for a long time. The right sealing technology is equally important as the highest quality bearings when it comes to high-end components. VULCANIZED SEALING New for the year 2017 is a sturdy vulcanized seal bonded to the compression ring and the base plate as an additional and first barrier against water and dirt. V-LIP In addition to the new vulcanized seal on the compression ring and the base plate, the sealing discs of the bearings now have a special v-groove double split lip (V-LIP). Furthermore, the V-LIP is recessed in a fine polished groove, which significantly increases the sealing effect once again. The name ACROS AZ-44 describes the semi integrated (also known as press fit or zero stack) 1 1/8" Ahead headset for frames with a 44 mm inner diameter head tube.
