This wheelset offers the perfect mix of stiffness, handling and comfort. This brings all the advantages of a flatter rim, such as easier handling in crosswinds but still the speed of a deeper rim. The increased inner width of the Discus transforms narrow tires into wider ones without sacrificing weight. Most tires labeled "25 mm" fit the Discus 45 | 32 with a width of 28-30 mm, while "28 mm" tires offer a super comfortable ride with a width of 30-33 mm. Hooked Hookless designs save a few grams and are a good choice for low pressure applications. At higher pressures, however, Discus rims with hooks offer additional security. Yes, it makes manufacturing more complicated, but it's the right technical solution. Safety First With tubeless tires, rolling resistance is lower and punctures are very rare.
