Many technical advances have been achieved, like incorporating Shimano's unique Gear Change Support mechanism that makes a real low effort shifting. The Premium version of Nexus internal gear hubs features a needle bearing which increases durability and offers high driving efficiency. The hub is supplied as SG-C6011-8R (R=roller brake), but can be used as SG-C6011-8V (V=rim brake) due to the dust cover. If this dust cover is removed, the hub is suitable for 8R = roller brake.
