The only difference is the aluminum cage, which is no less resistant. Thanks to the as well used Shadow ES construction, also the XT model features a slim, wedge-shaped low profile design. And also the stabilizer fits seamlessly into the housing of the electronic Di2 rear derailleur, so that there are no edges that could come into contact with obstacles on the trail. The result is a significantly reduced risk of stone strikes or hits. If an impact does occur, the rear derailleur not only absorbs it, but is immediately returned to its original position with the help of the automatic recovery function. Furthermore, the innovative chain stabilization technology with its double spring design ensures higher chain tension and correspondingly better chain retention. To extend the service life, the wide, cleverly arranged linkage in combination with the robust derailleur pulleys minimize the risk of dirt ingress. No less well protected is the battery (not included), which is located inside the rear derailleur housing and cannot slip even in rough terrain, but can still be easily removed when the next charge is due.
