Designed for moving forward! The mission "Hybrid MTB LS" was to develop a range of models specifically tailored to the current, lighter E-MTBs. The wheels are specifically aimed at riders who are looking for an intense E-Bike experience and want to increase their speed on the climbs without having to make sacrifices in maneuverability on the descents. The Light Support range offers not only sufficient resistance for fast and technical Trails, but also a low weight for tight turns and extra air time. In terms of reliability in no way inferior to the base model of the HX 1700 SPLINE wheels, the LS version also features welded aluminum rims. At the same time, however, the Light Support rims impress with a low weight adapted to light eMTBs, which increases the agility. This not only facilitates the choice of the fastest line in technical sections, but also allows more dynamic lane changes on the Trails. Light E-MTBs are often ridden in the same way as conventional Enduro bikes and although batteries as well as motors have generally become smaller, they still add weight compared to conventional MTBs. To withstand the additional stresses of increased drive forces and higher braking torques, the DT Swiss 350 hub body was redesigned to be durable enough to improve reliability without adding weight. In the search for the right balance between robustness and lightness, even the spokes were not left untouched. The reinforced Hybrid 3 spokes are stronger than those for conventional MTBs, but thinner than those for E-Mountainbikes. The resulting higher lateral stiffness is better suited to the additional loads that Light E-MTBs produce, while the improved torsional stiffness provides a more direct power transmission from the hub to the rim. Tubeless Ready | Tubeless tires offer some decisive advantages over the conventional combination of tire and tube. The tire can be ridden with less pressure without risking "snakebites" and thus offers more grip. The lower pressure also provides a more comfortable ride. The absence of the tube means that there is no friction between the tube and tire and therefore rolling resistance is lower when riding off-road and over obstacles. Pro Lock technology | The DT Pro Lock spoke nipples prevent an independent loosening of the spoke-nipple connection. A patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, which allows the construction of extremely durable wheels. Once the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and then fully cures. Repeated re-centering is possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
