It is equally at home on the climbs as it is on demanding descents. The VPSHP kinematics with an integrated idler wheel ensure minimized pedal kickback while maintaining playful handling - even on rough surfaces. Extensive testing with an i-track-based position of the idler wheel has optimized the anti-squat value for efficiency and direct response. The idler mounted on the chainstay regulates chain growth and reduces pedal kickback. With the "Missing Link Kit", the Optic can be easily converted from 29" to 27.5". The geometry and kinematics remain the same - for a consistent fit and balanced handling regardless of the wheel size.
