DISC SHARK® – The New Brake Disc Era With its innovative Shark Disc®, Galfer presents a sophisticated MTB brake disc for the most demanding mountain bike disciplines. The innovative production process, using a laser cutter, achieves the optimum design for the best possible performance. One of the most important unique selling points are the internal Shark Fins (cooling fins), which give the disc its name: Shark Disc®. The interaction of the shark fins with the many small holes in the disc reduces heat build-up, while the outer wave design and the side openings enable strong and consistent braking performance. Under normal conditions, this means a 5 to 10 % increase in braking performance.
