You could call it a convergence product. A few years ago, we developed the first Omloop thermal shorts, inspired by professional racers who cut off their knee rings right at the bend of the knee on a sunny morning at the classic 'Omloop Het Nieuwsblad'. We set about developing a bib short cut to the bend of the knee and realized that we could do without leg grippers - and that the extra 10 centimetres of fabric generated a lot of warmth. These first Omloop shorts were made for cool, dry conditions, like the race that inspired them, with our Thermoflex fabric. Let's make the leap in time to the present: the new, 3rd generation of our Nano Flex fabric is as soft, stretchy, breathable and warm as our Thermoflex fabric, so we can now ideally design this short for cool and dry conditions - but it's great on wet days too.
