SCOTT SPARK RC TEAM - Carbon Mountainbike - 2025 - carbon black
SCOTT Spark RC Team - Speed without compromise The Spark RC team combines carbon development at the highest level with an unprecedented degree of integration and a precisely calibrated dose of technical sophistication. The goal was to be faster than ever before, both on climbs and on descents. To achieve this, the travel was increased, the geometry was specifically refined, and valuable feedback from the world’s best cross-country athletes was consistently implemented. The result is a bicycle that combines maximum efficiency on climbs with uncompromising control and speed on the trail. Inefficient movements, particularly lateral forces perpendicular to the direction of damping, compromise the system’s efficiency. Integrating the rear shock into the frame reduces these effects. The design around the rear shock and the use of a trunnion mount increase stiffness and minimize unwanted movement. Additionally, a larger bearing at the seat tube pivot allows for a reinforced frame structure and thus even more efficient power transfer. The integrated design also allows the rear shock to be positioned deeper within the frame. This lowers the center of gravity, improves handling, and enhances riding stability. At the same time, the rear shock remains fully protected from external influences, ensuring consistent performance even under adverse conditions. Easy access to the rear shock The rear shock is easily accessible via a service flap in the bottom bracket area. This allows rebound, compression, and air pressure to be adjusted quickly and easily. At the same time, it significantly simplifies the installation or replacement of the cable for the TwinLoc suspension system. The result is a particularly maintenance-friendly solution that enables precise adjustments and saves time. Adjustable head tube angle The Spark allows for a 0.6° adjustment of the head angle—either flatter or steeper. This adjustment requires neither shortening cables nor bleeding the brakes. To make the change, simply remove the handlebars, rotate the headset 180°, and then reinstall the handlebars. Tool in the rear axle The proven tool on the rear axle has been further improved and has been a standard feature for years. It combines multiple functions into a compact all-in-one tool with T25, T30, and 6mm Allen keys. With these three tool sizes, the axles and nearly all relevant screw connections on the bike can be adjusted or tightened quickly and easily—practical for on the go and in everyday use.
